Ten year itch...
11 June 2009
When I’m patrolling pit lane at a BSB round, people sometimes ask me how much longer I’ll continue after ten years in the job and the truth is, I just don’t know.
I’m extremely lucky to be part of some very privileged furniture, have an envied rapport with the teams and enjoy a mutually and very healthy respect with and for the riders. I’m forever playing little jokes on them, I laugh with them, but never at them, and the intimidating and cruel nature of the sport means we occasionally have to cry together too...
Dangerous Bruce
4 June 2009 | BW
WEEKEND HIGHS AND LOWS
What a weekend! My car set on fire, my debit card was stolen, and to top things off, I had a 140mph crash at Thruxton. All that aside, I had another mint round of BSB.
BRADLEY DOES IT!
11 June 2009 | MCR News
Former 125cc British Championship
contender Bradley Smith finally managed to
claim his first 125cc World Championship win
when he stormed to victory in the Spanish
Grand Prix at Jerez last month.
Now in his fourth year of world
championship action, and having come so
close in the past what with five podium
finishes, the 18-year-old Oxfordshire ace rode
a storming race to bring his Bancaja Aspar
Aprilia home some 13 seconds ahead of teammate
Sergio Gadea with fellow Spaniard Marc
Marquez on the KTM just pipping Brit Scott
Redding on his Aprilia.
ANSTEY SETS SUPERSPORT LAP RECORD
11 June 2009 | TT 2009 news
Bruce Anstey is now the fastest ever rider around the Isle of Man TT Circuit on a Supersport machine, after recording a lap of 126.549mph on his GSX–R600 in the Relentless Supersport race on Tuesday.
Unfortunately, both Bruce and the Relentless Suzuki team suffered cruel luck in the same race, when a broken rectifier cable forced a retirement at Brandywell after 146 miles of racing. Bruce was less than five miles away from TT win number eight and win number sixteen for the TAS Racing team.
