I Superbiker is the new film charting the trials and tribulations of four BSB contenders throughout the 2010 season.
Following the lives on and off track of Tommy Hill, Josh Brookes, James Ellison and Gary Mason, the film is not just a straightforward season review and, with interviews with the riders, their families and girlfriends throughout the season, it’s the perfect entertainment for BSB fans who need a racing ‘fix’ and can’t wait for the season to start.
The action is backed up by a film score by David Vanian of The Damned and music from Phil Collen of Def Leppard and makes for a good package that the director, Mark Sloper, hopes will appeal to a wider audience than just committed race fans.
On the basis that racing is thrilling, but that the personal stories and opinions of the individuals battling for a championship are what get people hooked on racing, the film may well draw in extra crowds to see the real thing this summer. But it’s not fiction, so there’s no Silver Dream moment: none of the four riders featured actually won the championship, which must have caused the producer some headaches!
I Superbiker is released on 12th March and will be shown at 50 cinemas nationwide , before the DVD release on 4th April. Check out www.isuperbiker.com for details of where to see the film.
