K-Tech Suspension are launching their new 35DDS rear shock absorber. In development for the last two years, the 35DDS was made available to a limited number of race teams around the world in 2010 and was used and tested in BSB, AMA and the German IDS championship. Jon Kirkham won the National Superstock championship using this shock – and the Relentless Suzuki by TAS team took race wins with it.
Riders and crew from these series have given K-tech invaluable feedback and the resulting product is now available to racers and track day participants.
The DDS (direct damping system) uses a 35mm solid piston and 32mm control pistons with big shims to give better feel over the bumps, the shock also uses a 12mm piston rod which allows the system pressure to remain more constant over the full travel of the shock. It has compression and rebound damping adjustment and a bypass adjuster valve which allows the damping range of both compression and rebound damping to be adjusted externally. It’s also adjustable for length and is supplied with a hydraulic spring pre-load adjuster.
It’s available for most current sportbike models, including the new 2011 Kawasaki ZX10. For prices and information call K-Tech on 01283 559 000 or visit www.k-tech.uk.com
