It was a great weekend for Danny Eslick as he extended his lead at the top of the AMA Pro Daytona SportBike standings to 45 points, with a victory at the Mazada Raceway Laguna Seca.
The Oklahoma born rider earned himself a valuable race win by blazing past long time leader of the race, Team Latus Motors Racing’s Jason DiSalvo, in a red-flag-strewn event.
Currently second in the overall standings, Josh Herrin saw his title chances dealt a huge blow as he was forced to retire mid-race with a smoking bike. The Monster Energy Graves Yamaha rider’s title chances are now all but over ahead of the final meeting at New Jersey Motorsports Park in September.
