Here at Racer we’re getting very excited, why you ask? Well I think the title may have given it away, but we’re off to the Bemsee Open Day this Sunday the 11th of December at Brands Hatch!
We know the season hasn’t long finished but for many it’s time to start thinking about next year’s racing. The British Motorcycle Racing Club (better known as Bemsee) is hosting their free Open Day to give people an idea of what they need to do to start racing in 2012.
The event is open to anybody, and is a great way for people who are interested in racing to learn exactly what to do in order to get out on the grid next year. It covers everything you’re likely to need including: a guide to the paperwork, the eye test (which is part of the licence application) and a chance to chat with reps from each Club Racing Class to find out which is the best class for you. Club Technical Officials will also be on hand to answer any of your questions and give you the best guidance on all things racing.
You’ll also be able to book in to the Rookie Rider School in February, which will teach you all the basic skills you need to get out on track and is a requirement for your licence.
So, if you’re thinking of getting in to racing for 2012 but you’re still not sure then get down to the Kentagon at Brands Hatch this Sunday the 11th of December between 12.30-5.30pm. Remember, it’s free!
