What do you buy for the Racer who’s got everything? Well, aside from a subscription to Racer obviously, one of the best gifts we could imagine would be a trip to foreign climes on a track day. OK, so let’s imagine that you’ve taken the plunge and splashed out on a trip to the fabulous Almaria Circuit in Spain, you wouldn’t want to waste most of the weekend trying to learn your way around the course would you? Step forward Mike Edwards.
Mike has produced a range of DVDs featuring thrilling on-board action to get you up to speed at a number of circuits (including Almaria, which is the one we’ve got). So if you’ve got a track day or race meeting coming up, this DVD is a fantastic tool to get you prepared before you go.
We found this DVD very straightforward, no-nonsense and extremely easy to understand, due to Mike’s excellent teaching style, and the fact that he split the circuit up in to manageable sections so you don’t have to digest all the information at once. Although our top tip to make it even easier, would be to print yourself a circuit map to refer to while you’re watching.
We have to make it very clear that this DVD is not a ‘one size fits all’ solution to smashing the lap record, more so a guide to how Mike would ride a reasonable lap (which is plenty good enough for us after seeing him go round on the DVD – I just hope his speedo was in Kmph and not Mph or he was really pushing it down the back straight!)
Mike is of course famous for his V2Pro One to One Coaching and, to give you extra support, he has included a special code on each disk that entitles you to membership of an online forum, where you can get any questions you may have, answered by Mike.
The DVD is £25 (or £15 if you’re an existing V2Pro Client). Check out www.v121pro.com for details of how to buy, or to login to the forum once you’ve bought it!
