Now I’d go as far as to say that it would be downright irresponsible of us to print our review of the stunning AGV Guy Martin helmet without telling you the best way to keep it at its sparkling best; and we reckon that this latest offering from Muc-Off should be just the ticket.
We’ve tested out the whole helmet range and, to tell the truth, we found that it all works pretty well. For the inside of your helmet, we’d recommend the ‘Premuim Anti Fog Treatment’. Priced at £9 for a 500ml canister, it contains ‘proprietary water absorbing technology’, which ensures fog-free vision, even under the toughest racing conditions for up to five days after application. It is worth noting that if you have got the brand new AGV helmet, then you won’t need this because that comes with anti-fog already, but for some older helmets, it’s very effective.
Also handy for the inside of your helmet is the ‘Foam Fresh’. At a bargain £6 for a 400ml aerosol, this is cracking value, as all you need to do is spray on to the inside of your helmet, leave to soak for a few minutes, wipe off any excess foam and it’ll be clean and smelling fresh. You can also use this on body armour and gloves too.
Finally, and coming in with our highest commendation, is the Muc-Off Helmet Polish. This advanced-formula polish is safe to use on polycarbonate, fibreglass, composite and carbon fibre helmets, and it will give your helmet a protective layer to ensure that it stays pristine and the colours are enhanced with a deep shine.
The Helmet Polish comes in at £6 for a 250ml bottle and it, along with all the other products mentioned, is available from
